Judging Process
How the voting is calculated
The I Do Wedding Awards are judged entirely on votes received by brides and grooms, the judging process is drawn up using the average voter scores.
Voting is open to newlyweds who have used an entered supplier and married between 6th March 2026 and 5th March 2027.
In the voting process, each voter gives a score between 1 and 10 in each of the 5 quality measures.
The quality measures are as follows:
• Quality of expertise, advice and guidance received
• Quality of customer service received
• Quality of service/product supplied
• Value for money
• Above and beyond expectations
The 5 quality measure scores received from the voter are then added together to give a total score out of 50.
The total number of points given by all voters are then added together.
This figure is then divided by the number of votes received giving an average vote score.
A minimum of 10 votes is required for the company to be classed as a valid entrant.
For the newcomer award, a minimum of 5 votes is required to be classed as a valid entrant.
If the minimum amount of votes are not achieved they will be eliminated from the competition.
If there is a tie in the score after the voting has closed, the winner will be decided on the comments received and reviews on social channels.
All entrants whose average voter score out of 50 is below the category average will be eliminated from the awards.
Calculating the vote this way means the wedding suppliers are all on an equal level.
