Launched in 2024 to celebrate 10 years of the I Do Wedding Awards, the Legacy Award shines a light on those one-in-a-million wedding suppliers who have consistently gone above and beyond for their happy couples for years.
The Legacy Award isn’t easy won; suppliers who qualify for this category will have won multiple times at the I Do Wedding Awards over the last 12 years, showing a continued professional approach to providing their products & services.
To Qualify for the Legacy Award Category: The winner for this award will be chosen based on past performance at the I Do Wedding Awards and as voted for by brides and grooms. They will be a supplier who has been a multi-award winner over the last 12 years.
The wedding supplier who wins the Legacy Award raises the bar for other suppliers to strive toward to achieve their success.
The list of categories for the I Do Wedding Awards
To ensure every award remains competitive and meaningful, some specialist categories may initially be combined across wider regions. Where there are sufficient entries from a particular region, that category will be split into separate regional awards. If entry numbers remain low, categories may be combined or incorporated into Additional Services at the organiser's discretion.
Additional Services
If your wedding business doesn't fit into one of our listed categories, this is the category to enter. Should five or more businesses offering the same service enter, we'll create a dedicated award category for them, giving your business the opportunity to compete alongside similar suppliers.
Best in Show
Chosen by the couples who attend our wedding exhibitions, this award recognises the exhibitor that made the biggest impression on the day. A winner is selected at each exhibition throughout the year, with each one automatically earning a place in the Grand Final at the annual Wedding Awards.
Bridal Alterations
This category is open to businesses specialising in bridal alterations and gown tailoring. Whether carrying out simple adjustments or complex bespoke alterations, this award recognises exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail and helping every bride achieve the perfect fit for her wedding day.
Bridal Wear
This category is open to bridal boutiques. Whether you specialise in designer collections, bespoke gowns or a carefully curated range of styles, this award recognises excellence in helping couples find the perfect dress for their special day.
Cake Designer
This category is open to cake designers and bakers creating beautiful wedding cakes for couples. Whether you specialise in elegant classics, contemporary designs or bespoke creations, this award celebrates exceptional craftsmanship, creativity and outstanding customer service.
Catering
This category is open to wedding caterers providing exceptional food and service for couples on their special day. Whether you offer formal dining, relaxed sharing menus, street food or bespoke catering experiences, this award recognises outstanding quality, professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Celebrant
This category is open to professional celebrants who create and deliver personalised wedding ceremonies. Whether conducting symbolic, humanist, independent or celebrant-led ceremonies, this award recognises exceptional professionalism, creativity and the ability to craft meaningful ceremonies that truly reflect each couple's story.
Content Creator
This category is open to wedding content creators who capture behind-the-scenes moments and create engaging, social-first content for couples to enjoy and share. Whether you specialise in short-form video, reels or candid moments, this award recognises creativity, professionalism and the ability to preserve the excitement of the day in a modern, authentic way.
Entertainment
This category is open to wedding entertainment providers offering experiences beyond live music and photo booths. Whether you provide magicians, casino tables, garden games, caricaturists or other unique entertainment, this award celebrates those who help create unforgettable moments and keep guests entertained throughout the day.
Florist - Artificial
This category is open to florists specialising in artificial wedding flowers. Whether you create bridal bouquets, bridesmaids' flowers, buttonholes, corsages, flower crowns or floral arrangements, this award recognises exceptional quality, creativity and craftsmanship in providing beautiful blooms that last a lifetime.
Florist - Fresh
This category is open to florists specialising in fresh wedding flowers. Whether you create bridal bouquets, bridesmaids' flowers, buttonholes, ceremony flowers or floral arrangements, this award celebrates exceptional creativity, quality and attention to detail in bringing a couple's wedding vision to life with beautiful fresh blooms.
Groomswear
This category is open to businesses providing groomswear, whether bespoke, made-to-measure, tailored or off-the-peg. From classic morning suits and tuxedos to contemporary styles, this award recognises outstanding quality, expert service and helping every groom and wedding party look their very best.
Hair & Beauty
This category is open to hair stylists, makeup artists and beauty professionals specialising in weddings. Whether you offer bridal hair, makeup, grooming or beauty treatments, this award recognises exceptional skill, professionalism and helping couples look and feel their absolute best on their wedding day.
Jeweller
This category is open to jewellers offering wedding and engagement rings. Whether you create bespoke pieces or offer carefully curated collections, this award recognises outstanding craftsmanship, quality and exceptional customer service.
Newcomer
This category is open to wedding businesses that have been trading for two years or less as of the final voting date. Eligibility will be verified, and any business found to have been trading longer than two years will automatically be moved into the most appropriate award category.
Photobooth
This category is open to businesses providing photo booths, selfie mirrors and 360 booths. This award recognises outstanding service, quality equipment and the ability to create fun, memorable moments for couples and their guests.
Photographer
This category is open to wedding photographers capturing every special moment of a couple's wedding day. Whether your style is traditional, documentary, editorial or contemporary, or you specialise in the growing trend of flash photography, this award recognises exceptional creativity, professionalism and the ability to create beautiful, lasting memories.
Singers & Instrumental
This category is open to all live wedding music providers, such as solo singers, duos, bands, instrumentalists etc. Whether performing during the ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast or evening celebration, this award recognises outstanding talent, professionalism and the ability to create the perfect soundtrack for a couple's special day.
Stationer
This category is open to businesses creating wedding stationery, from save the dates and invitations to on-the-day stationery and signage. Whether your designs are bespoke or from a curated collection, this award recognises exceptional creativity, quality and attention to detail.
Venue Stylist
This category is open to venue stylists who transform wedding spaces into unforgettable settings. Whether you specialise in elegant tablescapes, draping, lighting, centrepieces or complete venue styling, this award recognises exceptional creativity, attention to detail and the ability to bring a couple's vision to life.
Wedding DJ
This category is open to wedding DJs providing the soundtrack to a couple's celebration. Whether you specialise in all-day entertainment or evening receptions, this award recognises outstanding professionalism, expert music selection, exceptional customer service and the ability to keep the dance floor full.
Venue - Countryside
This category is open to wedding venues located in the countryside, away from villages, towns and cities. Whether independently owned or part of a larger group, this award recognises exceptional venues that offer a truly rural setting, outstanding service and unforgettable wedding experiences.

This category is open to wedding coordinators and planners who help bring a couple's wedding day together seamlessly. Whether you offer full wedding planning, on-the-day coordination or bespoke planning services, this award recognises exceptional organisation, professionalism and dedication to creating a stress-free and memorable experience.
